James Thomas "Nelson" Hayes, son of Fred and Maggie Hayes, was born February 7, 1916. In 1938, Nelson married Willie Ruth Hughes (1923-1991). Nelson died July 11, 1993 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Gary Peterson, born December 4, 1965, married Barbara A. Compton on September 3, 1988, in Allentown, PA. Barbara and Gary became parents of Adam Michael Peterson, born January 20, 1993; Brian Andrew Peterson, born June 12, 1994; and Mark Anthony Peterson, born March 18, 1997.
Audra Lynne Peterson, born October 9, 1967, married Robert Paul Replogle Jr. on September 1, 1990. Audra and Robert became parents of Eric Robert Replogle, born September 30, 1995, Addison Lynne Replogle, born November 30, 1998; and Owen Bradley Replogle, born November 14, 2002.
- SHIRLEY YVONNE HAYES was born December 25, 1942. She married George "Al" Perkins on April 10, 1965. Shirley and "Al" became parents of:
Rodney Albert Perkins, born January 17, 1969, in Portsmouth, Virginia, married Gwyneth Frances Newland on June 20, 1993. They became parents of Elizabeth Frances "Beth" Perkins, born March 14, 2002 and Eleanor Mae "Nora" Perkins born March 21, 2005
Brad Alan Perkins, born September 13, 1974 in Brookfield, Wisconsin, married Lola Maria Rodriguez on October 4, 2003
