Hayes, Roger Grayson

"Roger" Grayson Hayes, son of Grayson Hayes and Eleanor Mae Bass, was born September 14, 1945. Roger graduated from Monroe High School in 1963 and Duke University in 1968; he received a Masters of Elementary Education at Western Carolina and taught school until 1972. Roger married Georgia Kay "Peach" Pearce on February 10, 1968; Georgia is the daughter of Charles Pearce and Mary Heckert. She is a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and also received a Masters in Elementary Education at Western Carolina. She was the 1967 Maid of Cotton and presided at the Cotton Bowl game in Dallas, Texas that year.

Charles "Grayson" Hayes married Jennifer Margaret Mayer on November 1, 2008,  She was born October 23, 1979.  They are parents of two sons:

Benjamin Grayson Hayes born October 2. 2011

Charles Mayer Hayes born December 18, 2015

Roger "Pearce" Hayes married Sarah Copeland Riley on May 19, 2012  
They are parents of three children:

John Pearce "JP" Hayes born April 1, 2017

"Mary" Georgia Hayes born on March 6, 2019

Eleanor "Ella" Burns Hayes born on February 14, 2023.
