Long, Deborah Kay

Deborah Kay Long, born July 3, 1972, married Sloan Reed Simpson on March 27,1999.

                    

(2003 Notes: Deborah Simpson attended Florida State Univ. and earned a degree in English, Creative Writing in 1994. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy during her last semester of college. Consequently, she left her heart in Italy and tries to visit as much as possible even today. Deborah went back to school in 1996 and earned her Master’s degree in English Ed. in 1998. During this time, she met her life partner, Sloan Simpson.  Sloan, a graduate of Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, is a specialty sales representative for Merck & Co. Sloan and Deborah were married on the property where Deborah grew up in Ozona, FL on March 27, 1999. They moved to Macon, GA for a job promotion for Sloan. Deb teaches 10th and 11th grade English at a local, private high school. They love to travel especially in Europe and miss Florida. Sloan enjoys scuba diving and spear fishing with his father-in-law, skydiving, wakeboarding, gardening, and bird watching. Deb spends much of her time crafting on projects such as quilting, jewelry making, refurbishing furniture, as well as gardening and cooking. They do not have any children yet, but are beginning to get the itch. They will adopt a Bichon Frise puppy this summer.)
